Who is Champion Construction Services?

We are the set and finish division of the Skyline Champion Corporation, providing a range of services including turnkey installation of manufactured and modular homes.

What areas do you serve?

Each region has its own instruction teams including project managers, construction managers, and team members.

What if I only need a Site Evaluation?

This is a separate item from the turnkey service we cater to. We can do site evaluations and you can utilize this service how you may need. We encourage using a Champion product for the site and with this service, you will receive a buildable envelope. This envelope includes starter information for buying and building a home through Skyline Champion, any pertinent codes and information needed to perform an efficient evaluation and which steps to take afterwards.

What if I only need the Set Work?

We can do any portion of the set work as long as it makes sense for both parties.

Do you hire nationally?

What is the home minimum requirement?

This number depends on the market and if we have a team in the area. Please contact us for this information.

How long does this process take? (From Site Eval, Orders, Site Prep, to Turnkey)

Our typical goal — from the time the home hits the site to the home’s finish — depends on the scope of work. It could be anywhere from 30-60 days for one model. For smaller projects, we may be able to expedite faster than 30 days. Anything added to the scope of work may take longer than 60 days.

How can I get a quote?

Contact us to get started. Please make sure to have your lit or pier prints available. The scope of work and/or location is required for a quote. You can also contact your local project manager.

What is a manufactured home?

Manufactured homes are factory-built houses engineered and constructed to the strict specifications of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s federal building code.

What is a modular home?

Modular homes are residences built in a controlled factory environment in sections, or modules, and then transported to the construction site. There, they are installed on permanent foundations and completed by professional installers.

How is factory-built housing different than site-built homes?

Instead of being constructed on-site, factory-built homes are built in a controlled factory environment using many of the same materials used in site-built homes. The entire house is assembled in the factory in sections by skilled craftspeople and then transported by truck to the home site for final installation, resulting in a faster, more affordable, and nevertheless attractive finished product.

Can I purchase homes directly from the factory?

You will need your state’s manufactured home dealers license. You’ll also need to be set up in the Champion Home system. Please fill out our Contact Us form to get connected with a local factory representative.

Do you set HUD and Modular?

Yes. We even set park models and tiny homes, ADUs, ANSI-code homes

Do you set two-story and cape cod homes?

Yes.

What foundations can you set on?

We can set on any approved foundation system. This includes footers and piers, knee walls, APS pads and block, and full basements or crawl space.

Where can I find the serial number on the home?

There are three possible locations for the serial number:

  1. The title document for the home (HUD code manufactured homes only).
  2. Stamped onto the I-beam at the hitch end of the home.
  3. On the data plate which is an 8.5 by 11 sticker located inside one of the kitchen cabinets or on a closet wall.
